FORMA, THE FESTIVAL OF FASHION SCHOOLS IN ROME
Accademia del Lusso is proud to take part in 'FORMA. Perspectives of Fashion, Art and Creativity', the event dedicated to the talent of students from the eight fashion academies in Rome. A unique opportunity to discover new perspectives, new visions, and new trends in an open dialogue between experimentation and tradition.
When and where
FORMA takes place on 21 st March from 9am to 6pm and on 22 nd March from 10am to 5pm at La Nuvola, Rome. Attendance is free upon booking through the event's official channels.
Accademia del Lusso gives shape to creativity
On the occasion of FORMA, Accademia del Lusso will present a selection of garments, accessories and special projects produced by the young creators of the Fashion Design Department. The garments will be part of an exhibition involving all the Academies, while the showcase reserved for Accademia del Lusso will host workshops and demonstrations of graphic and design illustration, tailoring and embroidery.
The Academies
In addition to Accademia del Lusso, the other schools present at FORMA are: Accademia Costume & Moda, Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma, Accademia Internazionale d'Alta Moda e d'Arte del Costume Koefia, Accademia Italiana di Arte, Moda e Design, IED Istituto Europeo di Design, MAM Maiani Accademia Moda, NABA Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti.
Institutions
FORMA is promoted by Roma Capitale, Department of Fashion, Tourism, Sport and Major Events, headed by Alessandro Onorato, and by the Lazio Region, Department of Economic Development, Commerce, Crafts, Industry and Internationalisation, headed by Roberta Angelilli. The event is also part of the "Roma Smart Tourism" project financed by the Ministry of Tourism.
Guests of excellence
Important representatives of the fashion world, such as designers Domenico Dolce and Antonio Marras, the creative director of Dior Maria Grazia Chiuri and the co-founder of the Maison Valentino Giancarlo Giammetti, will be the protagonists of the talks scheduled at FORMA. For all participants, there’s a huge level of excitement building around meeting them in the auditorium of the Nuvola.
